The Lola Choir School is organised into two classes – for children in the children’s choir (8 to 13 years of age) and for teenagers in the preparatory choir. Basic singing techniques, breathing, and attention to tone are practiced in the school.
The school’s repertoire includes domestic and international compositions of an appropriate level, regardless of whether they are artistic, popular or folk.
Children, the same as adults, are inclined to imitate what they hear. If what they hear are the songs offered by Grand Parada, they will not only sing those songs, but they will also sing in that way, i.e. with an unattractive pitch and without any attention to intonation, diction and, beauty of tone.
By working in the singing school, our teachers teach pupils cultivated singing, in an attempt to interest young people in music of more lasting value in the hope that by building musical taste young people will grow into adults who distinguish between quality and become more educated and cultivated.
